The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting manufacturing equipment. Also, will be responsible for executing preventive maintenance (PM) to equipment such as lathes, freezers and furnaces, among other equipment. Will be in charge of completing Work Plans within the manufacturing area and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting and complete repairs to keep manufacturing equipment running efficiently, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic components.
Minimize computer downtime and maximize capacity for use.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunction and diagnose problems to perform repairs.
Provide recommendations to maximizing capacity and effectiveness of the equipment by evaluating the mechanical systems, programming, plans, schematics and data collection, among other variables.
Support the spare part and preventative maintenance system following the established procedures to ensure effective inventory control.
Identify parts, equipment or tools necessary to ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing equipment.
Manage work orders and preventive maintenance activities within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring timely and accurate entries and closures.
Maintains maintenance documentation, processes part requisitions, and completes preventive maintenance inspection records in accordance with established procedures.
Support equipment qualifications, process validations, equipment transfers, and utility systems by assisting with required documentation, testing, and execution activities.
Conduct effective shift handoffs (“pass downs”) between technicians and supervisors to ensure clear communication of equipment status, ongoing activities, issues, and priorities.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate or Technical Degree completed, from a technical college or institution.
Available to work 12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
Previous experience to manufacturing regulated environments (Medical Devices, Pharma, Biotech).
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Maximo, SAP, Oracle.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) both spoken and written.
